What you’ll do here as Backend Developer:
We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain our server-side applications. The work will involve a mix of new feature development and the maintenance and modernization of existing systems. You'll be working on the core engine of our business, improving the systems that our most critical operations rely on. This role combines backend coding with DevOps responsibilities, requiring a candidate who is comfortable working across the full application lifecycle.

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and APIs primarily in Python and PHP.
• Manage and troubleshoot our applications and infrastructure in a Linux environment.
• Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to deliver high-quality features.
• Proactively identify and propose new ideas for improving our systems and development processes.
• Take ownership of features and systems from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Maintain, refactor, and improve existing legacy codebases.

Skills & Qualifications Needed

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in backend development with Python and/or PHP.
• Solid experience working within a Linux environment, including command-line proficiency.
• Demonstrable ability to write clean, efficient Bash scripts for automation.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL.
• Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Bonus Points for Experience With:

• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ansible.
• Monitoring and logging tools
